The fast growth of China has drawn worldwide attention, with some experts even suggesting the formation of a "G2" (Group of US and China). The Chinese economy is indeed growing at a fast pace, but it still faces a lot of problems, says an article in Outlook Weekly. Excerpts:

A universally accepted fact today is the rise of China, with "G2" becoming a popular speculation.

Because of its rapidly developing economy China is indeed a rising power. But it faces many problems, too, which it has to solve to reach its true position on the world stage. For example, on the issues of global governance and world economic competition, China is caught in a dilemma. It faces similar problems in fields such as defense modernization and resource exploitation, in which it still lags far behind the developed powers.

Knowledge plays the most important role in the development of an individual as well as a nation. Only a clear self-evaluation can help China solve the problems and march toward a better future.
