Comment on "Summer vacation in China" (China Daily website, July 25)

Summer vacation is always appealing. Students can do many interesting things during the holidays, just as the activities mentioned in the special coverage. But none of them can be done without money.

A majority of students in China are supported by their parents. Thus whether they can learn or gain experience of a particular vacation depends on the financial condition of their families.

But there are many other things students can do to spend a meaningful holiday without increasing the economic burden of their parents.
