Comment on "Students sell ova in black market" (China Daily, Nov 14)
The story fails to give us some basic information, such as the current laws, if any, in China on the subject. In many countries, women selling ova would be doing nothing illegal. In some countries, such as Canada, women can donate their ova, but not sell them for money. Women sell ova because some couples need them. In many countries, couples in need would have been able to obtain them from women in exchange for money or for free.
