Fifteen years after the original, a 3D version of Titanic has hit the screens. Do you remember who you watched the movie with 15 years ago? Which part impressed you most? China Daily mobile news readers share their views.
It has been a long time since a movie could make me cry like Titantic. The shock the film gave this time was not the iceberg or the 3D effect but the realization that love is so heavily weighted in the material for me, even though I am still a university student. I had forgotten how true love feels until the scene when Jack and Rose danced, hugged and kissed on the deck and I suddenly awakened from my distorted values.
A READER, Shanghai
It was difficult for the 7-year-old me to understand the love between Jack and Rose, but I still remember clearly every detail in the film. Fifteen years later and Titanic is a classic that would be able to attract audiences back to the cinema even if it wasn't 3D. Apart from Jack and Rose's romance, I was impressed and moved by the responsible crew. I would have taken my parents to watch the film again if I was not studying away from my hometown.

My husband and I went to watch the 3D version of Titanic a couple of days ago. Just as it was 15 years ago the scene of Jack and Rose looking at the iceberg and preparing to die together hand in hand is the most unforgettable moment for me. Today young couples marry and divorce in a flash. Without a sense of family responsibility and mutual understanding, love can never withstand the test of time and easily fade away. The 3D Titanic has reminded me that love is priceless.
MANMAN, Tianjin
I was only three when Titanic first appeared on the big screen and I watched it for the first time in high school. When Rose struggled to the lifeboat after Jack's death and later lived a normal life like everyone else, I knew she was just fulfilling her promise to Jack and her life. There are many ways to love someone, to live safe and sound also shows responsibility and strong will.

What impressed me most in Titanic was the scene of an old couple who do not panic but calmly confront death lying on their bed as if there was still hope for tomorrow. This is the essence of love: simple and pure but most touching.
A READER, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province
I was at primary school the first time I watched Titanic with my parents. I still remember how calmly the bandsmen were playing the musical instruments when the ship hit the iceberg.
LAVENDER, Suzhou, Jiangsu province
I like the film very much, no matter how many years have passed. I used to be simply impressed by the storyline, but looking back at it now, I realize the true meaning of love: to give hope to your loved one. Though Jack's death was sad, Rose did not give up and was eventually rescued, which is why love is precious.
JING, Dalian, Liaoning province
Fifteen years ago the film was just a tragic romance for me, while now it makes me cry when Jack sinks to the bottom of the sea even though I am aware of what is going to happen next. The ship is still the same one, but I find I have changed from the past me who was unmoved by feelings to the sentimental me of today.
