Comment on "Experts eye promising future of space economy" (China Daily, Sept 14)
The article discusses the practical benefits of China's space program. It mentions the knowledge that can be gained from space research and experiments, but also points out that space exploration is not merely a scientific endeavor. It creates jobs and helps boost China's economy.
Space is truly the next frontier for the human race. I find it unfortunate that the US has been slashing NASA's budget, but this may provide more impetus for the private sector in the United States. This summer, the company SpaceX was the first private company to successfully dock a spacecraft with the International Space Station.
In an ever-changing world there is no doubt that space jurisdiction will become more widely discussed as the article mentioned. Cooperation between different countries would be ideal for the scientific community. Countries need to communicate more and find ways to collaborate on their space programs for the good of us all.

I’ve lived in China for quite a considerable time including my graduate school years, travelled and worked in a few cities and still choose my destination taking into consideration the density of smog or PM2.5 particulate matter in the region.
