To help, or not to help?

I know how kind Chinese can be, but I remain challenged by the risk of helping strangers. There's talk of creating a good Samaritan law to protect those who give help, but, at the same time, some helpers can make a situation worse, even if they mean to help.

What surprised you the most in China?	Should Chinese care about "face"?	Laowai, is the term offensive?
