Solo venture to Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou

First, we went on a boat ride around West Lake. According to my guide, less than 10 years ago, the lake used to be stagnant and smelled bad. Now, it is fed by a river and is absolutely beautiful. There are three small islands, one of which is open to visitors.
