2. Henan Provincial Museum

Located in downtown of Zhengzhou city, Henan Provincial Museum of History displays over a thousand cultural relics from Henan province. The museum provides a great opportunity to see artifacts of Chinese history dating back thousands of years. The exhibits shows the ancient artisan skills of smelting metals and making pottery from the Bronze Culture of the Shang Dynasty (16th century - 11th century BC) to Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907). Lotus and crane rectangular Jar and Jade Clothes Sewn with Golden Thread are two significant exhibits in the museum.

Wang Sungao Chimes were instruments in Shang Dynasty (16th century - 11th century BC) and Zhou Dynasty (11th century - 256 BC). The chimes were used by the imperial family. Both the size and the number of the bells represent the position of the owner. [Mu Jun / IC]
