政府收费清单(zhèngfǔ shōufèi qīngdān): Government charge list
By the end of June, the Ministry of Finance had released a list of all the legal government charges nationwide as required by the State Council, China's Cabinet.
The list cleans up administrative and institutional fees as well as government funds and will eliminate arbitrary charges. The administrative burden has also been eased, as the number of central administrative and institutional charges has been reduced from 185 to 51, and provincial administrative and institutional charges have reduced to 14 on average.
At an executive meeting of the State Council on Friday, Premier Li Keqiang stressed the significance of cleaning up the arbitrary charges and easing the public's burden.
Li said any government fees not on the list are forbidden, and he instructed the Ministry of Finance to establish a complaint mechanism.
In the next stage, departments under the State Council should achieve governmental information connectivity before the end of this year and increase their transparency by releasing the content that is closely related to the interest of the public.
