Bird flu hits village in Hunan Province

2007. Bird flu has killed 11,172 poultry in Shijiping village in Taojiang
County, Xinhua said Saturday. A further 52,800 birds were also slaughtered to
prevent any spread of the disease. Agriculture officials say that the outbreak
