According to the organisers, the collaboration of Panasonic and Osaka Sangyo University has achieved the new record for the fastest car powered by dry cell batteries with the avarage speed of 105.95 km/h (65.8 mph) for 1 km (0.6 miles), using 192 AA dry cell batteries.
