A newlywed couple poses for photos on the "love zebra crossing" on Nanbing Rd in Chongqing Municipality May 15, 2010. The crossing is white and red and has a design of Cupid's arrow linking two hearts with vows saying "I love you". Couples can ask the traffic police to adjust the traffic lights to leave space for photo-shoots. The police said the "love zebra crossing" did not affect the traffic much because the newlyweds usually come on weekends or after 10 a.m. on holidays when the traffic is not busy. Cartoon crossings for children before schools and special strips printed at junctions where seniors frequent are also due to come out in the Municipality. [Photo/CFP] |
