S Korea kicks off anti-submarine drills
Crew members of a South Korean destroyer fire an anti-submarine torpedo during military drills in waters off the west coast of the divided Korean peninsula, August 5, 2010. The five-day naval exercises, aimed at deterring the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from further aggression after its suspected torpedo attack on a South Korean warship in March, will involve 4,500 troops from the country's army, navy and air force, some 20 vessels and 50 fighter jets.
