The first batch of 12 children from Zhouqu, Northwest China’s Gansu province, which was hit by a devastating mudslide on Aug 8, arrives in Beijing on Thursday. The 12 children, aged 7 to 14, will attend a 10-day recreation activity organized by China Charities Aid Foundation for Children in Beijing. Ten of them became orphans due to the mudslide. All of them will receive psychological counseling and get together with orphans from Yushu, Northwest China’s Qinghai province, which was hit by an earthquake on April 14, 2010. [Photo/Xinhua]
