A section of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail, connecting Cangzhou, North China's Hebei province, and Dezhou, East China's Shandong province, is constructed, Oct 13, 2010. Tracks on a 128-meter continuous beam bridge between Cangzhou and Dezhou were laid down on Wednesday. The 1,318-kilometer Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail track is expected to be completed by the end of October, enabling trains to reach speeds of 380 kilometers per hour and connecting the two cities in less than four hours.
