A monkey named Jianhui implanted with a microchip controls a robot hand in a lab in Zhejiang University on Feb 23, 2012. Scientists from the university in East China announced on Feb 21 that they can make brain signals of monkeys' remote control a robot to make precise gestures, including grabbing, hooking, grip, and pinch. This is the latest achievement in the field of brain-computer interface, not only bringing hope for developing artificial hand for people with disabilities, but also for further decoding brain signals.
