Wu Naiyi knows all about not counting chickens before they hatch. Aged 83, Wu has been praised after he insisted on repaying 800,000 yuan ($127,840) in debt left behind by his three sons after they lost their lives in a typhoon disaster. Wu, from Wenzhou, East China’s Zhejiang province, has refused to accept anymore donations from the public and has managed to clear the debt in six years despite not being responsible for the money, his grief, illness and old age.
