(China Daily) Updated: 2013-03-17 07:25

Though the “two sessions” are an offi cial occasion, the participants share many informal moments too.

Every year the annual meetings of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference bring together the delegates from across the country to Beijing. These meetings, commonly referred to as the “two sessions”, help shape the future of the nation. Delegates often endure long hours in the meeting hall while working under the public microscope. As the meetings come to a close, China Daily takes a look at some lighter moments from the two sessions, the interaction between delegates among themselves and the reporters who are covering the event.
