Rally to help AIDS patients in Ukraine

Shoes of people who are sick or have died from HIV/AIDS are seen as activists from the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living With HIV/AIDS, a non-governmental group, take part in a rally in front of the Ukrainian cabinet of ministers building in Kiev October 8, 2013. The activists are protesting the closure of the state-run Lavra clinic, Ukraine's main HIV treatment centre, as part of the Health Ministry's plan to move the clinic to new premises that the protesters say are not ready to treat patients yet. Ukraine suffers from one of the most severe HIV and AIDS epidemics in Europe, according to the World Health Organisation. [Photo/Agencies]
