A fishing boat from Liaoning Province crashed and sunk, leaving its fishermen lost at sea early in the morning on July 16.

At 7:30 a.m., the North Sea No.1 Search and Rescue Flying Service received an emergency call from Weihai maritime rescue center, saying that a rescue helicopter was needed urgently.

The B-7312 rescue team took off at 8:30 a.m. after making necessary preparations. Taking the sink position as the center, the helicopter began its search with a radius of 10 nautical miles. An hour later, they found only the wreckage; no men were in sight.

At about 10 a.m., a message from theWeihai maritime rescue center was sent to the helicopter, reporting three fishermen had been successfully rescued by a ship passing-by. One of them was seriously injured and in need of urgent treatment.

B-7312 quickly headed to the required position and took the injured man on board. An hour later, the helicopter landed on the Penglai rescue base and the injured fisherman was immediately sent to a local hospital.
