Magnitude 5.3 aftershock hits China-Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border

An aftershock measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit the border area of China, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan at 0:05 a.m. Tuesday, the China Earthquake Administration said.

The epicenter was fixed at 39.5 degrees north latitude and 73.7degrees east longitude, roughly the same area where an earthquake on the same scale struck Monday, according to information from the country's seismological network.
