The fair is being organized by Guangdong’s provincial government, the Guangdong foreign trade department, the Guangdong commission of economy and trade and the municipal government of Dongguan. Various organizations and companies from Hong Kong and Macao will be collaborating with the fair as well. Hundreds of senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce, several chambers of commerce in China, representatives from big enterprises and the media will get a chance to mingle at a cocktail party as part of the opening ceremony in Dongguan. About 2,500 exhibition booths will be set up, with exhibits covering everything from household electronic appliances, apparels, toys, gifts, kitchen articles, furniture, architecture materials, foods and daily-use chemicals. More than 10,000 different kinds of articles will be on display, according to the fair organizer. A special business matching zone will also be set up at the fair, inviting buyers from home and abroad to negotiate business projects with exhibitors, as well as a series of forums in order to publicize business knowledge, such as marketing, to exhibitors and visitors. Representatives of governmental departments, including tax, customs, foreign trade, quality inspection and quarantine, intellectual property rights, and commerce, will come to the fair to offer professional consultant services to fair participants. The organizer said joining the fair is a golden chance for exhibitors to open up their international markets and fight the economic turmoil. China Daily Guangdong Bureau |
