International motor show is being held in Chengdu

Updated: 2009-09-25 21:35 CHENGDU: The weeklong 12th International Motor Show, which ends on September 26, is being held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
Co-hosted by Chengdu Municipal Government and Hannover Milano Fairs China Ltd, the show floor covers 100,000 sqm and has attracted entries from over 500 car brands including Benz, BMW, Volvo, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Ferrari. The show also highlights independent innovations by domestic auto makers. Leading home-born companies such as Chery, BYD and Geely have covered the main stands in the exhibition halls, showing the immense growth of China’s automotive industry. The exhibition also includes a public service anti-drunk-driving campaign and a second-hand car fair. |
