An international franchise show will open at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center on September 10.
The three-day event, sponsored by the China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA), is expected to display more than 200 franchise brands for investors, said Wang Hongtao, director of Exhibition & Conference Department, CCFA.
Singapore and Japan will bring dozens of franchise brands to the show, most of which are the first to the Chinese market, said Wang.

The director said some foreign governments will fund enterprises to promote their brands in the Chinese market, which are involved in food, commercial service and children education.
Taiwan will also send a delegation consisting of more than 10 franchise brands to the mainland for expansion.
Of the exhibits, chain coffee brands, including those from South Korea, Australia and Sweden, will be highlighted at the show, he said.
Funds for brands will range from 100,000 yuan to 3 million. Brands under 200,000 yuan will account for 30 per cent, suitable for beginners, Wang said.
The show also provides brands that cost more than 5 million yuan for those who want to expand business, he added.
"The fast economic growth has enhanced people's purchasing power which will surely stimulate the country's market of luxury goods," Wang said.
Therefore, bird's nest chain stores, for instance, will showcase their management and service at the show to seek partners for expansion in the Chinese market.
Statistics show the world produces 800 tons of bird's nest annually, with 150 tons sold to Hong Kong and 100 tons to Taiwan. More than 80 per cent of the pregnant women in Singapore access to bird's nest.
"China is a big potential market for the growing demand of bird's nest," he said.
