Fine jewelry brand Qeelin is dedicated to letting the world discover the best of China, said Qeelin Creative Director Dennis Chan while visiting the 21st Dalian International Fashion Festival, which was held from Sept 4 to 7.
"Qeelin brings together Chinese cultural elements and French craftsmanship. On this trip, I will also investigate the northeastern market and try to collect some symbolic items from the region," said Chan, who uses Chinese cultural heritage in his jewelry design.
Since his first Wulu collection in 2004, Chan has brought into his products gourds, pandas, goldfish, small bell and other symbols with Chinese meaning.
A luxurious jewelry brand that combines Chinese culture and international fashion, Qeelin wins the affection of many celebrities both at home and abroad. Chan said he is confident that more Chinese people will become fond of his designs.
Qeelin launched the Yu Yi collection in 2009. It resembles a Chinese longevity lock, and the name Yu Yi means to "make one's dreams come true." “The Yu Yi collection sells well. It is not only because of the high quality but also because of the good meaning," Chan said.
Qeelin already has boutiques in fashion capitals such as Paris, London, Los Angeles and Tokyo. In the mainland, it has shops in Beijing and Shanghai.
Seeing the great purchasing power of the domestic market, Qeelin is looking forward to setting up new shops in the mainland.
"Besides the metropolises, some medium-sized cities like Dalian, Shenyang, and Chengdu are also good options," said Chan.
