Max Mara fashion show held in Dalian By Zhang Xiaomin Italian fashion brand Max Mara held a show to promote its Autumn-Winter 2010/11 collection on Saturday at the New World Hotel in Dalian, Northeast China’s Liaoning province.
Models posed for this season's "must-haves" such as the Sportmax coats, the Cube down, high-necked shirts, and stylish skirts.
The super fabrics of the collection follow Max Mara's tradition: cashmere, pure camel hair and flannel, corduroy, lamé and embroidery. Colors ranged from black, navy blue, grey and tan to uniform blue and gold.
Margaux, Max Mara's first authentic coat-bag, was also displayed. It matches the coats, creating an image of a dynamic businesswoman always on the move.
Chinese movie star Yao Chen sat front row at the show, wearing an Eleganet taffeta figure-hugging top and leggings from Max Mara’s 2010/11 collection.
Yao said she identifies with Max Mara's design, which combines elegance with simplicity. "It shows the independence of modern women," she said.
Max Mara opened a store in Dalian last year at the Galleria shopping mall, which accommodates many world-famous fashion brands.
