Hong Kong-based yacht builder Kingship, the first builder in Asia specializing in constructing yacht with steel hull and aluminium superstructure, unveiled a new Ocean SUV Series on last Wednesday.

The series come in three models -- 90, 116 and 148 feet, showcasing respective range of 5000, 7500, and 9500 nautical miles.

Designed by Sergio Cutolo at Hydro Tec of Varazze, Italy, the Ocean SUV Series combines luxury yacht styling with expedition yacht functionality. It is comparable with the functional characteristics of an SUV/4-wheel drive car except for high fuel consumption.

Roger Liang, Kingship's managing director, said the idea of building the series started from a desire to build a yacht combining safe, economical and long range capabilities with high level of comfort, storage and practical interior layout making them suitable for world cruising without frequent stops to restock.

The exterior is frill free, easy to maintenance and offers passengers a high vintage point from which to view the passing scenery. All spaces are highly practical and even the 90’ does not compromise on providing for 10 guests and 4 crews. All decks have extensive exterior and dining facilities for relaxation and entertainment. An internal elevator connecting all decks can be added as an option upon owner's request for the 116' and 150' models.
