Project to help college women is recognized

The Red Phoenix Project was awarded the Public Service Brand, along with nine other public projects, by the Chinese Female Charity Models Ceremony, which was co-sponsored by the China Women's Development Foundation, Zhongmin Charity Donation Information Center and the China Philanthropy Times in Huaiyin, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 7.

Launched by the Women's Federation of Northwest China's Shaanxi province in 1996, the Red Phoenix Project aims to offer financial support to underprivileged female college students. Ban Li, deputy inspector of Shaanxi Women's Federation, attended the awards ceremony.
