Philippines wins 2011 CIMA Global Business Challenge

CHENGDU: The two-day 2011 CIMA Global Business Challenge ended on Sunday in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, with the Philippines winning the championship and the two runners-up went to the Singaporean and Australian teams.
Seventeen teams of university students from Australia, Bangladesh, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Middle East, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom and Vietnam did case studies and made statements in front of the panel of judges in order to win the championship.
Organized by the London-based Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international business management competition designed to bring out the best in potential business leaders among young people.
It was the first time that the CIMA Global Business Challenge was held in China.
