Wenjiang to implement 'All-round Health Plan'

CHENGDU - The Wenjiang district government of Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, has decided to implement the “All-round Health plan” to improve the health of its inhabitants.
District Xie Chao says that the district has included the plan in the list of the district government’s livelihood projects for the public this year. And the plan tops the list, he says.
According to the plan, every inhabitant in the district will be entitled to health service by 2015. It will take them no more than 15 minutes to reach hospitals and clinics in the district. And the district inhabitants’ life expectancy will be 80 years.
The district will provide at least 2 square meters of land with sporting facilities for the average person.
To ensure the goal, the district government will spend more than 10 percent of its expendiure on health service, Xie says.
