Shaanxi style revolutionary TV serial to be filmed

Xi'AN, Shaanxi - Xi'an Kaibo Culture Development Co Ltd and Xi'an Qujiang Film & TV (Group) Co Ltd announced on Thursday the official start for the shooting of the Shaanxi-style revolutionary TV serial, Adopted Daughter.

The telescript of Adopted Daughter was selected as a key cultural excellent project in Shaanxi province in 1990 by the Publicity Department of Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and won one million yuan support fund.

Adopted Daughter tells a family passionate story in the 1990s that involves two generations of adopted daughters in the ancient city of Xi'an. It depicts the image of a group of simple and kind local residents in Xi’an.

The TV serial reflects the great changes in people’s life and feeling during the 20 years after the opening-up.

While depicting the new-type social relations among people, the TV serial also shows the representative scenic spots such as the Daming Palace and the city wall, as well as the scenic spots in Qujiang. It also presents numerous local culture and folk life in Xi'an.

It is learnt that the TV serial will be broadcast in the satellite TV stations across China next year. At the time, the new way of depicting characteristic culture of Shaanxi through Shaanxi-style TV serial will arouse a new round of debate. The show of the TV serial will also catch the attention of the audience to the local culture of Shaanxi province.
