The event was aided by a network marketing platform, which has the maximum coverage. Air tickets, hotel accommodation and tickets of Xi'an Expo will be used as prizes in the event of "touring Xi'an," which is a base for the event.

As the first attempt of Xi'an's tourism promotion for the Horticultural Expo, the event combined a set of very unique, attractive lucky draw prizes, promoted by network marketing and has attracted the attention and participation of large numbers of netizens.

By the 12 pm of Aug 24, the number of website hits had reached 1,244,000. The amount of netizens who directly registered online also exceeded 140,000.

This number broke the myth that number of clicks of participants in the internet marketing activities never exceeds five percent. It hit a new high of similar internet activities.

After retrieving their IP addresses, we know that the netizens who took part in the activity covered 34 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, from ages of 16 to 75.

Yu Yajun, deputy director of Xi'an Tourism Bureau, introduced the basic situation of the event and immediately launched a site sweepstakes in his speech during the lottery ceremony.

Witnessed by organizer and co-sponsors, notary public, representatives of participants and journalists, it eventually produced 3,276 third prize winners, 40 second prize winners and 25 first prize winners.

Zhou Aiquan, secretary of Xi'an Tourism Bureau said, "we provide two round-trip tickets of Xi'an to the first prize winners, two nights of hotel accommodation and three tickets to Xi'an Expo to the second prize winners, three tickets to Xi'an Expo to the third prize winners."

The notary finally reviewed the lottery results, and announced that it was true and fair in a warm but orderly atmosphere.

After the announcement of each award, they informed those winners in three ways in order to ensure that all of them received their prizes. First, they published the list of the winners' names and query system. Second, e-mails were sent to the winners three times following the day of the lottery ceremony. Third, lotteries were sent to the winners by registered letters.
