Ex-premier of Kazakhstan visits NW China

Sergei Terechshenko, the former prime minister of Kazakhstan visited Xi'an, the capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi province on Sept 21, 2011.

The former prime minister paid a visit to Xi'an-Xianyang's new development area, located at the junction of Xi'an and Xianyang cities, on Wednesday.

During the visit, Terechshenko said that China and Kazakhstan share a broad relationship in economic and trade areas. He hopes that more professionals of Kazakhstan will come to the new development area to work or start their own businesses.

Xi'an-Xianyang's new development area covers 882 square kilometers, 272 square kilometers of which are to be used as a site for construction. The area will be developed into an urban city, which will have convenient transportation, a beautiful town centre and urban agriculture. The development of Xi'an-Xianyang's new development area will become a new model for urban development in China.
