Qingdao Week starts at Xi'an expo

The opening ceremony of Qingdao Week was held at Xi'an expo on Oct. 15th, south China's Shaanxi Province.

Wang Jianxiang, 2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition Executive Committee Executive Director, Zhang Lei, Xi'an Municipal Committee attended the ceremony and exchanged the city gifts representing Qingdao and Xi'an.

The eight-day-Qingdao Week will introduce the charm of Qingdao to the visitors through the opening ceremony, the article performances, boat parade, art parade, the city's image broadcasting commercials, festivals and tourism promotion, and photo exhibition.

Three shows would be performed to show the city culture and fashion style of Qingdao at Xi'an expo everyday, as well as six floats in different themes, six parades with distinct regional characters, and two interactive parades of T-25 sailboat, laser class sailing and windsurfing for about two hours.

According to the ceremony, Qingdao Week is the largest city week. It is also a week for Qingdao to promote the progress of 2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition.

2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition will be held in Baiguoshan Forest Park of Qingdao during April to October in 2014. It is another urban development highlight of Qingdao after 2008 Olympic sailing.
