The 2011 China International Sustainable Economy Industrialization Expo will be held from Nov 19 to 21 at Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition Center, according to Chengdu municipal expo bureau.

The Expo is the largest, most professional, highly graded, and most internationalized exhibition in the Chinese sustainable economy sector in 2011.

It has received attention from government departments and companies from various countries.

During the period, there will be a main forum, sub-forums, investment promotion meetings, contract signing ceremonies, technological exchange meetings, and inspections.

Wang Xiaokang, chairman of China Energy Conservation and Environment Protection Group, will announce the preparation of the Durban Conference as a member of the Chinese delegation during the expo period.

The expo will be attended by leading Chinese experts from the sustainable economic sector and nearly 100 officials from over 40 countries. Dozens of industrial associations and international organizations will extend their support. Nearly 200 companies will show up to the expo, including leading Chinese and foreign companies in the sustainable economic sector.

The exhibition booths amount to 13,000 square meters.

During the 12th Five-year Plan period, the Chinese energy conservation and environment protection industry will have more than three trillion yuan investment.

The Chinese government is implementing the west China development strategy and a large number of businesses are moving to the western region. For this reason, the expo will take place in Chengdu, a core city of southwest China. So far, Chengdu has chosen Jintang county as the industrial base for energy conservation and environment protection.

The base will give priority to manufacturing equipment and products for energy conservation and environment protection, and use of resources, service, research and development. It will attract a group of enterprises to cultivate a complete industrial chain.

By the end of 2015, the base will accumulate 100 billion yuan output value in the energy conservation and environment protection industrial base, making the sector a new economic growth point for Chengdu city.
