The Sixth China Bird Festival has been held in the Wenjiang district of Chengdu, Sichuan province, drawing more than 3,000 primary school students and bird lovers to its opening ceremony on Nov 18.

They visited a bird photo exhibition and participated in a bird model manufacturing competition and an essay competition on the basis of bird watching.

The event was sponsored by the Wildlife Conservation Society of Sichuan Province, Chengdu Education Bureau and Chengdu Forestry and Landscape Bureau.
