LINTONG, Shaanxi — A launching ceremony was held Friday at Xi'an Shaangu Power Co Ltd in Lintong, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, for Shaanxi Women's Law Knowledge Competition along with Publicity of Women's Legal System into enterprise.

The event was sponsored by Shaanxi Women's Federation and the Office of Women and Children Working Committee, and co-sponsored by Shaangu Power. More than 300 representatives from local government departments such as Shaanxi Committee of Discipline and Inspection, General Administrative Office of Shaanxi, and Department of Justice of Shaanxi, and female workers from Shaangu attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Li Hongan, the general manager of Shaangu Power, gave a talk about their attention to women's legal rights and constant practice of women's enthusiasm.

Liu Lige, chairwoman of Shaanxi Women's Federation, also gave a speech. Liu began by expressing her sincere thanks to all associated departments that supported the publicity and education of women's law system. She also sent her greetings to all female workers at Shaangu. The speech highlighted the significance of women's rights and introduced specific steps they had taken.

Later, Shaanxi Women's Federation distributed the paper for the law knowledge competition to participating units and donated 3,000 rights maintenance brochures to female workers at the meeting. In addition, a lecture related to marriage and family was given.
