1,800 students register for juvenile class

Online registrations for the entrance examination for the juvenile class of Xi'an Jiaotong University ended on Dec 10, with almost 1,800 applicants from all over the country, which is a 30 percent increase from last year. Among the applicants, the youngest one is just 11 years old.
Due to the greatly increased number of applicants, the written test and interviews will be separated this year. Applicants can take the first round of written exams in Beijing, Changchun, Qingdao, Nanjing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chengdu or Xi'an. After the written test, 500 to 600 students will be selected to participate in the interviews.
The written examination for the juvenile class is scheduled for Jan 1, 2012. The test subjects will include Chinese, mathematics, English and Science (physics, chemistry). The interviews will be held Feb 25 to 26, 2012. The interviews will include a physical fitness test, psychological test and a comprehensive interview.
Notices and exam scores will be sent to examinees before the end of March. Official admissions will be given after examinations and approval.
