Anhui Vice-Governor Yu Xinrong said that the project launched in Zimbabwe by Anhui Provincial State Farms Group of China has greatly consolidated and promoted development of the Sino-Zimbabwean friendship.
During a visit to Zimbabwe, the vice-governor reiterated that the Anhui-Zimbabwean Agricultural Co-operative Program launched in 2010 has made positive contributions to the development of Zimbabwe's agriculture by bringing in the harvest in a short time.
Accompanied by Anhui Provincial State Farms Group President Tian Wenjun, Anhui Provincial Agricultural Commission Director Zhang Huajian, Anhui Provincial Finance Department Deputy Director Zhang Guangshou and Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office Inspector Sha Linsen, Yu led a delegation to Zimbabwe to discuss further cooperation on the Anhui-Zimbabwean program.
When the delegation walked off the plane in Zimbabwe, a welcoming group gave them a warm applause and then presented everyone with a wreath of fresh flowers by the lovely local children of Zimbabwe.
Yu praised the Anhui Provincial State Farms Group, saying the whole staff displayed the Chinese people's entrepreneurship to work hard and live plainly as well as the courage to face difficulties and forge ahead.
"You all have consolidated and developed the traditional friendship between China and Zimbabwe through your actions, making great and positive contributions to the development of Zimbabwe's agriculture," Yu said at the welcoming ceremony in Mashonaland West Province of Zimbabwe.
Han Daming, general manager of Anhui-Zimbabwean Agricultural Co-operative Program, briefed the guests on the corporation's progress and achievements since its start in 2010, while representatives of the Zimbabwean government spoke highly of the work and the spirit of the Chinese staff, saying that the program was a typical example of the two nations' friendly cooperation.
