Tibetan soprano sings ode to the motherland

Before the convening of this year's sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the famous Tibetan soprano Guojia Maoji has issued two albums "Love of Red Songs" and "Love of Hada."

Guojia, a member of the CPPCC and deputy chief of the Chengdu Banner Art Troupe under the Chengdu Military Area Command, has spent more than one year preparing for the recordings of both albums.
The "Love of Red Songs" collects 22 classic songs, songs related to the Chinese revoloution and newly created songs, while the "Love of Hada" boasts 18 famous Tibetan songs in various periods since the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as original songs of the Chengdu Banner Art Troupe.
The "Love of Red Songs" shows the singer's lover for the motherland and the "Love of Hada" shows a Tibetan daughter's praise of her homeland, according to Guojia.
As a deputy to the 10th NPC and a member of the 11th CPPCC, Guojia has joined in the national inspection tours of both the NPC and CPPCC in recnet years.
"I am impressed with changes in the former revolutional bases and the happy life locals lead. As a member of the CPPCC and a Tibetan singer, I feel duty-bound to praise their good life and national unity to celebration the holding of the upcoming sessions of the NPC and CPPCC," she said.
