Zhang Linsen, chairman of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Co Ltd, died in a car accident on March 1, 2012.

According to police, Zhang was traveling from Yan'an to Xi'an with his secretary and driver when his car collided with another vehicle. Zhang was killed immediately, while his secretary and driver were both badly injured and are not yet out of danger.

According to the Yan'an Gaojiao Traffic Police Battalion, the accident occurred about 5 pm on the Baomao motorway at the Fuxian and Ganquan junction.

Zhang was on his way to a conference in Xi'an, after attending a meeting in Yan'an.
