Canon (China) shoots for West China headquarters

Canon (China) Co Ltd set up its West China Headquarters on April 17 in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.
Its headquarters covers operations for Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou and Tibet Autonomous region, which is its fourth regional headquarters in the nation. The other three are based in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
The company occupies the largest market in terms of digital SLR cameras, compact digital cameras and inkjet printers in Southwest China.
"We will try our best to achieve annual growth at above 30 percent in the region," said Hideaki Ozawa, president of Canon (China) Co Ltd on the opening ceremony, "We aim to achieve the No.1 position of all our products in the western regional market."
One day after the opening ceremony, Canon (China) launched a public welfare project in Bifengxia Panda Base in Sichuan province. It donated monitor systems to capture, record and analyze wild panda tracks, which is helpful for artificial breeding.
To pay appreciation, the China Wildlife Conservation Association named two giant pandas as "Jia Jia" and "Neng Neng" (Chinese pronunciation is "Jia Neng").
