“HANSEATIC”, a cruise liner from the Bahamas, was the 11th visitor of such liners to dock at the Tianjin port on May 26.

The liner set off from the port of Yantai, and arrived at Tianjin International Cruise Home Port at 11:15 pm. There were 157 tourists on board from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Romania and other European countries, and 119 crew members for those traveling in Beijing and Tianjin.

Affiliated to Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten GmbH, a German container liner shipping company, “HANSEATIC” has a length of 122.8m, width 20.4m, draught 4.91m, total tonnage of 8,378 tons and net tonnage of 2,554 tons. Its capacity can hold 127 crew members and 200 passengers. Despite it being the smallest-ever liner to anchor at Tianjin port, it is still a five-star luxury cruise liner known as “the holiday resort at sea”, with facilities such as meeting rooms, bars, dining rooms and stores. The tourists are mainly Germans and Swiss with middle-and-high incomes. The liner has berthed at many domestic ports and its next destination will be Qinhuang Island of the Hebei province.
