In honor of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Dongjiang Port Area and the opening ceremony of the 3rd Cultural Tourism Festival at Tianjin Port, a festival will be held at the Tianjin International Cruise Home Port on the evening of June 26.

There will also be a performance aimed at bringing happiness to the community. The two activities are sponsored by the Tianjin municipal party committee publicity department, the government of the Binhai New Area, Federation of Literary and Art Circles of the Tianjin municipal government, Tianjin Port Co Ltd, and the Chinese Ballad Singers Association, respectively.

During the opening ceremony, famous cross-talk comedians, singers, dancers and noted performance groups will present to the audience. The hosts will be Niu Qun, celebrated cross-talk comedian and national first-level actor, and Ju Ping, famed CCTV presenter.

Apart from the performance, the festival will arrange a series of colorful activities from June to October, such as a photography competition, a rock concert on the beach, Miss Bikini of the Universe, and a beer carnival, among others. During this period, a large-scale cultural or sports activity will be held every month with a distinctive activity every week. During the summer holiday, various activities, indoor and outdoor, classical and popular, will be provided every week to attract people to participate based on their preferences.

As one of the important programs to rejuvenate the cultural industry in Tianjin, the Cultural Tourism Festival, based in the Binhai Area, is designed to create a cultural brand focusing on sea activities with international influence. They hope to explore and spread the port culture, make it a significant resource for the region and add flavor to the tourism market in Tianjin.
