The program of “R&D and fulfillment of digital ports” undertaken by the Scientific and Technological Corporation has passed inspection by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Experts believe that the implementation of the program will achieve improved operation models, enhance port capacity, reduce operation costs, and attain sound inland transportation. By doing so, the trade processing, logistics, management, and services of ports will make a big progress.

The program, tailored to areas like trade and port transactions, monitoring, and relevant e-commerce, realizes the digitalization of business operation, management, service system and infrastructure by making use of information and technologies.

These include 3S, RFID, designing technological architecture of digital ports and researching key technologies. It also plays a positive role in port management, automated terminal operation, port linkage around the Bohai Rim. Therefore, it is of great significance to further promote such technology thanks to its notable economic returns and demonstrational effects. It received 15 software copyrights and one patent during the research.
