CHINA-SHANGHAI-STEAMED BUN-RESTAURANT

SHANGHAI, April 30, 2012 (Xinhua) -- People queue at the Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant to buy Xiaolongbao in Shanghai, east China, April 30, 2012. The Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant was founded in 1900 and it is located at the Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai. At holiday times such as the Labor Day holiday that lasts from April 29 to May 1 this year, many tourists and local residents flocked to the restaurant to experience its famed food Xiaolongbao, a compact, meaty dumpling with traditional Shanghainese flavour. On some busy days, about 150 staff members of the restaurant may work 8 hours to sell 7,000 boxes of the Xiaolongbao per day. (Xinhua/Liu Ying)
