The 88th China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF) will be held in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, between March 28 and 31.

As the largest and most influential event in China's food industry, the biannual fair will attract about 3,000 exhibitors from home and abroad. Its exhibition site will cover an area of 130,000 square meters, according to the organizer.

The exhibition site will consist of seven major pavilions for wine, liquor, beverages, food, seasoning, food machinery and packaging. There will also be four smaller pavilions for imported food, international food machinery, yellow rice wine and snacks.

As an international event, the fair will welcome 12 countries to join the exhibition in the name of government or industrial associations. Thousands of products from 26 countries around the world will be on display or on sale.

The wine pavilion, which mainly displays overseas products, will cover an area of 27,850 square meters, an increase of 20 percent from last year.

The main forum of the CFDF will be held on the morning of March 28. Scholars, experts and entrepreneurs will discuss changes in the history and culture of China's wine industry and analyze future challenges and opportunities.
