A contemporary painting exhibition for four Chinese artists will be held from May 1 to July 7 in Yuehu Gallery, Shanghai, featuring over 40 selected works from four Chinese contemporary painters, Li Xiaowei, Luo Fahui, Wang Dongchun and Yu Youhan.
Yuehu Gallery is the first stop of this nationwide tour exhibition, following the successful exhibition of Nell’Anno del Drago — Contemporary Painting Exhibition for Four Chinese Artists at Mazzetti Palace in Italy.
The four Chinese contemporary artists, Li Xiaowei, Luo Fahui, Wang Dongchun and Yu Youhan, come from Fuzhou, Chengdou, Nanjing and Shanghai respectively. Though they are from different generations, all the artists have experienced a crucial period in Chinese history. They have been striving to search for unique perspectives, languages and forms to express their understanding of this particular era.
Following the first stop, the exhibition will tour the hometowns of the four artists.
