The 2013 Sichuan Small, Middle, and Micro Enterprise Financing Summit is being held in the high-tech development zone in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.

The summit, starting from April 12 and lasting for two months, aims at building bridges between financial organizations and small, middle and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in the province, providing a demonstration platform for SMMEs and thus promoting Sichuan's economic development.

The annual summit attracted more than 500 enterprises this year. Economists, bankers, professors and marketing experts are invited to give lectures to the SMMEs. Meetings and activities will be held to demonstrate new SMME programs and strengthen communication and cooperation between financial organizations and SMMEs.

The Chengdu high-tech development zone, home to thousands of scientific and technological SMEs and over 100 financial organizations, has been trying to help nurture the enterprises. Last year, 100 SMEs received venture investments totaling 4 billion yuan ($652 million) with the help of the zone.
