The National Digital TV Project Laboratory (Beijing), Heilongjiang Internet Company and other investment operators visited Burundi and Mauritius recently. The visit was organized by the Zhongguancun Digital TV Industry Alliance.
They had an in-depth talk with concerned parties about the application of Digital Television Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting (DTMB) and the cooperation of terrestrial digital TV broadcasting services in the two countries.
Last year, the alliance promoted DTMB in Africa, and representatives from Burundi also visited China for a cooperation memorandum on digital TV and radio broadcasting businesses based on DTMB.
This year, the two sides drafted a cooperation agreement on establishing a venture company, network construction and market expansion. In May, a delegation from the alliance visited Mauritius and had a primary cooperation talk with London Telephone System, a company providing digital TV and radio broadcasting services transmitted on MMDS in Mauritius.
